For a better piece of mind!RVs, new or pre-owned, are one of the largest purchases many of us will make and just like a Sticks & Bricks home inspection, NRVIA (National RV Inspectors Association) inspectors are trained to find defects or any issues within the RV. These findings may have a factor in ones decision in purchasing a particular RV.
Were you satisfied with the demonstration your dealer provided when you picked up your RV? Dealers do perform a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) on new RVs from the factory but that type of inspection only focuses on the basics. Our NRVIA inspections hit MANY areas and we provide a report of our findings along with pictures of the problem area(s). (Click on link to see a more detailed inspection list). Ask the seller if they would allow such a service before you purchase. If not, it would be a good idea to have one done after and during the factory warranty period. (To be thorough, inspections need to be done with full hookups available for a complete test of all components).
Selling or Buying? If you are selling or trading your current RV in for a new unit, an inspection is an option to help you get the best value for your trade-in.
How often should you get an inspection?Annual inspections can be beneficial and will help find any possible issues before they get worse. Let’s face it, RVs go through a lot during travel days. The RV is like a rolling earthquake when traveling many of the interstates and roads putting stress on much of the RV.
The time it takes to do an inspection are dependent on the size of RV and installed components. Many inspections can take up to approximately 10 hours for the onsite inspection and additional 8 hours to complete the report which will include descriptions as well as photos for visual reference.

An important note on inspections. At owner's expense, all RVs MUST be connected to electrical, fresh water and sewer to allow all systems and components to be tested.
